INCLUSION CRITERIA
>18 years old
CAP diagnosis at admission or <48h from admission including compatible CXR
CRP>70
May or has required invasive ventilation (do not randomise until intubated)
EXCLUSION CRITERIA
Pregnant or breast feeding
On ECMO
HAP/VAP including patients discharged from hospital within last 14 days
Neutropenic (<0.5)
Thrombocytopenic (<30)
ESKD or FSGS diagnosis
Pre-existing sig lung disease involving active TB or cancer
Severe Liver disease (CPS>10 points) or HCC
Severe chronic heart failure (NYHA 3/4)
IgA deficiency
Fluroquinolone in last 2 days prior to randomisation
Previous lung transplant or stem cell transplant in last year
